Dr. Ebtsam AlMuslmaniVeterinary Medicine Expert Animal Resources

Dr. Ebtsam AlMuslmani a Qatari veterinary doctor, currently serves as a Veterinary Medicine Expert at the Animal Resources Department of the Ministry of Municipality – State of Qatar. She obtained her Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences from Cairo University in 2012 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She possesses extensive expertise in the fields of epidemiology and zoonotic diseases, with professional experience spanning veterinary clinics and the management of veterinary hospitals. She previously held the position of Medical Director of the Equine Hospital at the Racing and Equestrian Club and served as Head of the Veterinary Laboratories Section at the Animal Resources Department. Dr. Ebtisam has also appeared on a television program broadcast on Qatar TV, aimed at raising awareness of the vital role of veterinarians in protecting both animal and human health, presented in a simplified manner for children. She has participated in numerous specialized research and training projects in the field of animal disease diagnostics, with a particular focus on advanced diagnostic methods such as molecular diagnostics and genetic analysis of diseases. She has represented the State of Qatar at several prestigious international conferences, including the Influenza Conference in Valencia (2023) and the Annual Conference of the South African Veterinary Association for Cattle (2022). Moreover, she has contributed to the publication of scientific research on parasites and zoonotic diseases, including studies on the prevalence of rodent-borne parasites in Qatar and epidemiology in the Arabian Peninsula. Dr. Ebtisam is recognized as one of Qatar’s ambitious young national talents, contributing to the advancement of the One Health concept by linking human, animal, and environmental health, thereby supporting the state’s health and food security.
