Mrs. Ameira MohamedSenior Specialist, Food Safety

Mrs. Ameira Mohamed is a specialist in food safety and risk assessment, with a strong academic and professional background in Food Technology, Food Science, and public health research. She brings combined experience from the food manufacturing sector, academic research, and regulatory work, and for the past seven years has been part of the Risk Assessment Unit at the Food Safety Department, Ministry of Public Health – Qatar. Her master’s research on drinking water quality resulted in several publications, and her current work focuses on enhancing risk assessment methodologies to support evidence-based policies and strengthen public health protection. In addition to her regulatory and scientific work, Mrs. Mohamed is a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 (IRCA) and contributed to the awarding of PHAB accreditation. She has also played an active role in the implementation of the Public Health Strategy and National Health Strategy 2, reflecting her commitment to advancing public health systems at both national and institutional levels. At the National Food Safety Conference, she will present on the role of food risk assessment methodologies in decision-making, demonstrating how structured scientific approaches guide policy and ensure safer food systems.
